Our featured guest today is a Decision Science Consultant, Teacher, and Best-Selling Author who helps people get real, move forward, and minimize regret.

She has spent over two decades studying how people make decisions in a variety of contexts, from business to politics to relationships. She teaches Decision Science at the University of Washington and is founder and owner of Kabiri Consulting, where she uses Decision Science principles to help her clients make the right choices.

She is also co-author of the bestselling book Money Off the Table: Decision Science and the Secret to Smarter Investing.

She has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Washington, where her academic focus was on choice theory and decision-making within constraints. She also has a JD from the University of Texas.

During her last 10+ years as a business strategy and consumer insights consultant, she has helped numerous companies understand consumer purchase decisions and make their own best choices. As a thought leader, she has conducted survey research on American relationships, the findings of which were featured in several press outlets across the country and which culminated in interviews by Forbes and MarketWatch, articles in the Huffington Post, and a satellite radio tour.

She is also a former Law and Society instructor at the University of Washington, and has experience working in the legal profession - where she saw first-hand how the decisions people make can lead to inequity and injustice.

Personally, she has spent much of her adult life struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. Disappointed by the therapy and self-help industries, she has found true hope in Decision Science.

She can say that today she is truly fulfilled, despite all the challenges that life constantly throws her way. And she owes it all to the science of decision-making.
